This beautiful native plant was widely cultivated and highly valued by First Nations for its fleshy sweet-tasting roots, which look rather like spaghetti. ‘Clover Point’ in Victoria is named after it, but sadly today this species is rare to find. The roots we grow here at Metchosin Farm are from an original Clover Point plant – please help reintroduce and popularize this important species by growing in your garden! Does well in planters, hanging baskets and garden beds. Beautiful purple flowers are a favourite of bees and other pollinators.
