Goldenberry

Also known as Cape Gooseberry, physalis or ground cherry, these low-growing plants produce a heavy yield of golden fruit held within papery husks. Does best in a warm or hot location such as a greenhouse, but will naturalize in the coastal garden. Fruit has a tropical flavour and is delicious fresh or cooked. Great choice for a kids garden!!
