Refund policy
RETURNS
We do not accept returns. If items are missing, product is faulty, or you receive the wrong product, we will send out replacements or refunds depending on what solution fits best.
SHIPPING DAMAGE AND MISSING PACKAGES
Since our country covers an entire continent with many different climate zones, there are inherent challenges in our shipping.
We are entirely responsible for your plants before they arrive at your door, this means that damage during shipping will mean that we can offer a refund or replacement upon your request. To make a claim for damage, you must reach out to us within 3 days after receiving your product with photographic evidence of the damage. If there is no evidence of damage or you message us after this 3 day window, this will result in a decision to decline your claim.
For missing products, you have up to 45 days after items are sent, to request a refund or replacement.
Shipping fees for all replacement plants are the responsibility of the customer unless shipping insurance was purchased at checkout. If a refund is selected instead, only the cost of the plant will be refunded; original shipping fees are non-refundable.
If you have shipping insurance we will commit to a full refund bar the cost of the insurance.
Due to the fact that everyone’s environment and gardening experience varies, we cannot guarantee that every plant or seed you receive will grow. We are committed to the satisfaction of our customers, and if you are unsatisfied, we will do our best to find solutions and give advice to help your new plants thrive. The decision to replace or refund after the 3 day window is up to Metchosin Farm and our team's descretion.
NATIVE SEEDS REFUND AND REPLACEMENT POLICY
Because native seeds are unlike common domesticated varieties, all sales of native seeds are final. As such, we do not provide refunds or replacements for failure of germination. Reasonable success with native plants can be achieved by following the specific instructions for each variety listing.
GARDEN SEEDS REFUND AND REPLACEMENT POLICY
We stand behind our quality 100% Canadian grown seed. Please see individual variety listings on our website for specific growing instructions and tips. If you have difficulties germinating your seeds please reach out to us. Refunds and replacements are at our discretion. For added security we have shipping insurance that you can purchase.
SHIPPING INSURANCE
As a small farm we run tight margins. We can't control mistakes with the postal system, but they generate significant cost to our business.
Consequently we have introduced a Shipping Insurance Fee. You can Opt-Out of.
The fee is 4% of your order total. If selected we will cover any damage, loss, or theft of your order during transit. This includes mistakes made by you.
We will always replace or refund orders that was damaged/defective due to a mistake by a member of our team. This will be following an investigation and determination by us as a company.
TIMING
You have 3 days upon receipt of your product to request a refund or replacement. If items do not arrive, you have up to 45 days after items are sent to request a refund or replacement.
All investigations by us will take no longer then 30 days from receipt of your request. Non-communication by you during investigations will result in a decision to decline, unless otherwise agreed between us and you.
