Refund policy

RETURNS

We have an on request return policy within 90 days. 

Meaning we reserve the right to decide whether or not to accept a return. Unless it conflicts with current consumer guarantees and rights. The request must be made within 90 days of sale or receipt which ever is the longer.

Including the right to repair, refund, or replace defective goods.

It is your responsibility to return the goods and pay for shipping.

A 10% restocking fee will be charged.

We do not accept returns for Forager Pet, Rootstock, Tubers, Cuttings, or any other clonals.

Nothing in this policy will bar you from refunds or returns for situations where your lawful consumer rights apply.

DAMAGE AND ISSUES

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item. This applies to unexpected germination and incorrect seed upon planting. We would love to make it right.

We accept no responsibility for a lack of knowledge or skill in germinating or growing out your seeds and clonals. There is an exception for situations where we give you incorrect advice. The decision to not refund for gardener error is ours and ours alone. It is on you to prove that you followed the generally regarded advice. We use a Search Engine investigation to determine this, so be sure to do your homework before planting or just ask.

REFUNDS

We are a replace and repair first small business. That is, we would rather make things right with you if you are not satisfied. In the case you want a refund: all refund requests are at our discretion.

If you do not have shipping insurance we will only refund 80% of your order.

If you have shipping insurance we will commit to a full refund bar the cost of the insurance.

SHIPPING INSURANCE

As a small farm we run tight margins. We can't control mistakes with the postal system, but they generate significant cost to our business.

Consequently we have introduced a Shipping Insurance Fee. You can Opt-Out of.

The fee is 4% of your order total. If selected we will cover any damage, loss, or theft of your order during transit. This includes mistakes made by you. It also impacts any refund.

If you Opt-Out we will charge you 50% of your order total to replace it. In the case of a return, we will not accept it. In the case of a refund we will only refund 80% of your order.

We will always replace or refund orders that do not meet our customer satisfaction policies or was damaged/defective due to a mistake by a member of our team. This will be following an investigation and determination by us as a company.

TIMING

You have 90 days to make a refund and/or return request.

The clock runs from receipt or in the case of an item not received: from date of fulfillment. This will shift if a member of our team asks you to wait beyond the 90 day window. In that case the clock runs from the date of that communication.

All investigations by us will take no longer then 30 days from receipt of your request. Non-communication by you during investigations will result in a decision to decline, unless otherwise agreed between us and you.

CLARITY

To be clear:

  1. Shipping insurance has no impact on you lawful consumer rights
  2. Shipping insurance will determine if you can return and/or refund your order
  3. Shipping insurance only protects against errors made by you or our shipping partners
  4. You can always request a refund and return for defective products or mistakes you believe to be caused by our team
  5. In every case, refunds and returns are at our discretion pending an investigation and decision.
  6. Timing is determine under the Timing section and this takes precedence
