Shipping Insurance

As a small farm we run tight margins. We can't control mistakes with the postal system, but they generate significant cost to our business.

 We have recently introduced a voluntary Shipping Insurance option for customers who would like extra peace of mind for their order.

The fee is 4% of your order total. If selected, we will cover any damage, loss or theft of your order during transit. This includes mistakes made by you and includes the option of a full refund.

If you prefer to not opt in, then please note that for shipping issues outside of our control a payment of 50% of your order total is required for us to replace it, and only a partial refund of 80% will be possible.

 We will always replace or refund an order that does not meet our customer satisfaction policies or that was defective due to a mistake by a member of our team. This determination will be made following an investigation by us as a company. If there is an issue with your order please send us photos as these also help us to learn and improve our shipping service.

How many days per week do you Ship

We are guaranteed to ship 1 day per week. That day is Wednesday.

All orders received before 11am Wednesday will be shipped.

Do you charge Handling Fees?

All orders have a handling fee built in. This is due to our farm being so small.

They start at $4 and go up with the relative size of the order.

How are your Products Shipped?

We ship orders of seed packages using Letter Mail. Seed Package orders do not have a tracking number.

We ship Root Stock, Tubers, Sprays, Bouquets, and some packs/collections via a Box. This is for Protective Shipping. These have a tracking number.

What are your Shipping Times and Tracking?

Letter mail can take up to 5-6 weeks to arrive in our worst case experience.

Boxes come with tracking and typically take 1-3 weeks to arrive depending on location.

Do you have Free Shipping?

No. But we do offer $20 off when you order $200 or more of product.

How much am I likely to pay in Shipping?

We do not offer Flat Rate Shipping for one reason: We want fair shipping prices for all.

That means people buying 1-3 items aren't paying crazy amounts for shipping. It also means that we aren't subsidising shipping. Although, we would love to. It is not viable for our business to be able to afford such measures.

We used weight based shipping. So if an item is heavier or bulkier it will result in the use of a box. In this case shipping jumps rapidly in price.

We provide examples of combinations in our price list. As postage is automatically sorted by weight please note that you may be in a higher or lower category than expected.

It should also be noted that we have customised these postage weights so that all seed packages are standardised to 2g. That means a customer purchasing 6 bean packages will pay the same as a customer purchasing 6 strawflower packages. The same has been done with Clonals and Forager Pet.
