About Gold Nugget Tomato
Gold Nugget Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a highly productive cherry tomato variety that stands out for its early ripening and continuous fruiting. One of the first tomatoes to mature in coastal gardens, this variety is known for producing abundant clusters of 2.5 cm yellow fruit with a sweet, mild flavour and low acidity.

These vigorous, indeterminate plants grow tall and benefit from staking or caging for support. When picked regularly, Gold Nugget will continue to outproduce many other cherry tomato varieties, making it a favourite for fresh garden snacking, salads, and summer dishes.

Canadian Zone Information
Zones 8-9: Start seeds indoors in January or February, transplant outdoors in April, and harvest from June to October.
Zones 5-7: Start seeds indoors in late February to mid-March, transplant outdoors in May, and harvest from July through September.
Zones 3-4: Start seeds indoors in late March or early April, transplant after the last frost, and harvest from mid-July to early September.

How to Grow and Harvest Gold Nugget Tomato

• Planting: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, then transplant outdoors when the risk of frost has passed.
• Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but well-drained.
• Support: Use stakes or cages to support the heavy fruit clusters.
• Pruning: Remove lower leaves and prune suckers to improve airflow and fruit production.
