Seed the Change!

Seeds of Diversity Canada estimates that nearly 75% of vegetable varieties have disappeared. 25% of native plants are at risk and diversity in flower gardens is shrinking.

We are working to restore the biodiversity that was once common in gardens, farms, and nature around Canada!

About Mesclun Mix
Mesclun is a traditional Provence, France mix of baby salad greens, known for its beautiful textures and balanced flavours. Our blend uses greens selected to thrive in Canadian gardens. Quick to germinate and harvest, it makes a reliable and flavourful addition to any kitchen garden. Cut the leaves young and enjoy a fresh salad within weeks of planting.

Where Can You Grow Mesclun Mix?
Best grown in Zones 3–9, mesclun mix thrives in cool, moist conditions. It’s ideal for garden beds, raised beds, patio containers, and even window boxes. Provide partial shade in hot weather to prevent bolting.

History and Historical Uses
Originating from southern France, the term "mesclun" refers to a mix or medley. Historically, mesclun was a handful of whatever tender young greens were growing, harvested together for a fresh spring salad. The tradition continues today with curated blends offering a variety of tastes and textures in every bite.
