Listada di Gandia is a stunning heirloom eggplant variety from Spain, grown for its striking purple-and-white striped skin and exceptional culinary quality. Canadian Zone Information
Zones 8-9: Start indoors in late winter and transplant out in April or May; harvest from July through September.
Zones 5-7: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost; transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed.
Zones 4: Grow in a greenhouse or large container in a sheltered, sunny location.

How to Grow and Harvest Listada di Gandia Eggplant

Planting: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant seedlings 45–60cm (18–24in) apart.
Watering: Keep soil evenly moist, especially during flowering and fruit development.
Harvesting: Harvest when fruit reaches 15–20cm and skin is glossy and firm.

Seed Saving Tips for Future Supply

Allow to Mature: Leave several fruit to fully mature on the plant until the skin dulls and fruit softens.
