A great choice for the home garden, "vampire" is a classic orange carrot with an unexpected and delightful purplish colouration that develops as the root matures. Carrot seeds are small, so to avoid over-seeding, mix with fine sand or radish seed before sowing. Sand helps to increase individual spacing and the radish will germinate first, leaving separated carrots behind after early harvest.
