These herbs thrive in full sun to light shade with well-drained, fertile soil. Sow in dedicated tea beds, mixed herb borders, or pots. Regular watering and occasional feeding with compost tea ensure lush, healthy growth.

History and Historical Uses

Yarrow: Used since ancient Greece for digestive support and wound‐healing poultices.
Holy Basil (Tulsi): Revered in Ayurvedic medicine as an adaptogen for stress relief and immune support.

Sowing: Sow herb seeds ¼ in deep in moist soil; keep evenly moist until germination.
Spacing: Thin to 12–18 in apart for robust air circulation.
Maintenance: Trim flower heads (except Chamomile) to encourage foliage growth; pinch back Basil for bushier plants.
Harvest: Harvest leaves and flowers just before full bloom; dry in small bundles in a dark, ventilated area.
